Many moons before the oldest elder was born, the Clans were slowly dying. The four clans, which had once lived in peace and harmony with the tribes, were struggling to the point of death. RainClan, the moist Clan with a river running through its camp and frequent rainfall, was becoming dry. The river was drying up, and would soon disappear. That’s not saying anything for the other cats during this drought. Strange illnesses plagued the Clans, and no cure was to be found. To make it worse, the Tribes were becoming agitated. In their desperation for prey and water, some found themselves stealing from the Tribes’ luscious land. The Tribes waged war against the poor, starving Clans, and there was nothing they could do. A MountainClan warrior, Mightyclaw, went on a quest to find a new land to live in. StarClan guided the strong young warrior to the perfect new home for the Clans. He returned and brought them with him. RainClan, MountainClan, MidnightClan, and CherryClan all had almost perfect new homes. There were slight differences, as, for example, CherryClan had no cherries. A Medicine Cat, inspired by Mightyclaw, found the cure to the illness, and saved the Clans. Badgers were found in MountainClan, and Mightyclaw, who became the deputy, helped chase them off. All was well until a “Clan” of rogues appeared. DarknessClan was angry that their land had been trespassed on. The MountainClan leader, Thornstar, died in that battle, before they resolved their differences. Mightystar became leader. Under his leadership, each Clan combined to make one Clan, to chase DarknessClan away. After Darknesstar’s Clan ran away, defeated, he appeared dead. He was bluffing, and he attacked and killed the mighty Mightystar. Each and every cat from each Clan was miserable, and mourned his death. Mightystar’s deputy, Tigermist, called for everyone’s attention. “We are all thankful for all that Mightystar has done, and he will never be forgotten. We will forever be his Clans, the Clans of Might!” As Tigerstar, she went on to rename her Clan MightyClan.
